Tonight after dinner, we told the kids that we wanted to talk to them about something very special. Billy thought for a few moments, and then excitedly said "I know the surprise, we are going to a baseball game!" We explained to him that we were not going to a baseball game, but rather, had something very exciting to tell them.
Without missing a beat, Billy immediately shouted "I know what it is, there is a new Power Rangers coming on the TV!!" We couldn't help but laugh. After we regained our composure, John and I told the boys that they were going to have a new sister or brother around Christmas time. Billy faked a smile, and then looked at us and said "so, does that mean there isn't a new Power Rangers coming on the TV?"
With that, all four boys (John included) went upstairs to play a game lovingly referred to as "Galaxy Slash". Not the reaction we were expecting, but one we will always remember.

That is a wonderful example of how simple life is at that age. I think we could all learn a lot from our children. We can move mountains with faith like a child. No worries at all.
